Background:
A worker-led cooperative dedicated to education (formal, non-formal, and informal) and the creation of educational materials, especially for groups facing challenges. REDTREE MAKING PROJECTS is a social cooperative founded in 2014 that operates in the areas of youth, education, training, and development, with the aim of empowering the third sector to build a more just, inclusive, and sustainable European society together.
REDTREE has a clear social commitment to improving its local community and those groups most in need.
Therefore, it dedicates a significant amount of effort and resources to implementing its own projects (some of them part of the Erasmus Plus Program) that seek to change the world, with the clear desire to contribute to improving the rights and conditions of the most disadvantaged groups and help build a more just European society. Among its diverse areas of work, REDTREE prioritizes youth learning as an effective mechanism for providing disadvantaged groups with access to employability, competitiveness, social inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development. The challenge in this case, therefore, is to offer innovative tools that provide an education tailored to everyone's needs throughout their lifespan.
BACKGROUND AND APPROACH:
In its more than nine years of existence, REDTREE has generated a very intense collaborative network both locally in Valencia and throughout the Valencian Community, Spain, and Europe. It has forged important collaborative ties with institutions, social organizations, and youth organizations. It has also generated dozens of courses and training materials (both formal and non-formal or informal) that have enabled many people with barriers to accessing degrees.
Finally, REDTREE has coordinated multiple strategic and cooperative partnerships for the E+ Program, earning a Best Practices award for doing so.
