A European project ambassador is promoting a digital platform to bring archaeology closer to the public
Alba, one of the Culture and Science Ambassadors for the European project ‘From Past to Future’, has launched a new archaeological journal on Instagram dedicated to raising awareness of the heritage of the archaeological sites in the Sierra de Atapuerca.
On this digital platform, it shares images, videos and reflections on archaeological work, heritage conservation and the scientific importance of this World Heritage Site.
A bridge between research and the public
Through this new channel, the Ambassador is contributing to one of the core objectives of From Past to Future: to build bridges between archaeological research and the public, fostering an interest in science, culture and the history of our origins. The account is now active and will continue to grow with new content over the coming months, in line with the European project’s activities and the progress of the archaeological campaign.
Another summer at the excavation site Alba has taken part in the excavation campaign at the Atapuerca sites for yet another year, thereby strengthening her direct link with the project and the heritage it promotes. Her experience in the field lends authenticity and rigour to the content she publishes, making her diary a unique window into the scientific work carried out every summer in the mountains.
